Castaway was once four small cottages on the Sand dunes right on Tabourie Beach but when it became national park the owners were asked to move them back into the village.

The owners built Castaway Tabourie Units instead, but kept the names of the original cottages. Four of the original cottages were moved into the village and are now privately owned. 
Castaway was taken over by the Williams family more than 20 years ago and we have tried to maintain the original 60’s vibe of the building. One of the best treasures that was found at Castaway was a typed up, hand-made fishing booklet full of tips and advice on fishing in the area from the 60's - see photos below!
